Deelnemers, personeelsleden, vrijwilligers, sympathisanten en zelfs wethouder Eugene van Mierlo zijn er lètterlijk voor door modderpoelen gegaan en van grote hoogten gesprongen: de spectaculaire nieuwe X wall in het gamecentrum FUN-IE-FIT. De interactieve ‘sportmuur’ is geïnstalleerd en wordt in gebruik genomen tijdens de ETC gamedag op woensdag 21 augustus. Alle kinderen van de basisschool kunnen meedoen; wel even aanmelden!
Het gamecentrum FUN-IE-FIT van De Klup Twente heeft de afgelopen maanden een flinke upgrade gehad. Er is geïnvesteerd in VR apparatuur en in de nieuwste games, maar het meest opmerkelijk is de komst van de X wall: een interactieve gamewand waar een hele serie verschillende, fysieke (bal en andere) spellen mee gespeeld kunnen worden. Een speciaal samengesteld Klupteam deed in ’23 mee aan de Yuman Obstacle Run in Hellendoorn en haalde toen €20.000 op voor de aanschaf van de X wall.
Alle nieuwe games en apparatuur èn de X wall zijn op woensdag 21 augustus voor het eerst beschikbaar voor de ETC gamedagen voor de basisschooljeugd. Daarmee is de keuze voor kinderen die houden van gamen nòg verder vergroot: er zijn grote speelvelden voor exergames, er is een wand vol met spelcomputers voor populaire games als Minecraft, er is een megagroot scherm voor Fifa, een beleeftafel, VR brillen met daarop allemaal leuke spellen en dus de nieuwe X wall waarmee meerdere kinderen tegelijkertijd kunnen gamen.
Omdat naamgever Enrichment Technology Company (ETC uit Almelo) de activiteit sponsort, kost de entree maar 1 euro. Voor dat bedrag krijgen kinderen ook nog limonade.
De ETC gamedag in deze vakantie is eenmalig. Ze wordt gehouden op woensdag 21 augustus van 12.00 tot 14.00 uur. Kinderen die graag willen komen, moeten wel even worden aangemeld op funiefit@deklup.nl. (Maximaal 4 kinderen per aanmelding).
